Bike Cages + Parking

Installing Bike Cages for Commercial Success

Cycling is now the fastest growing mode of transport in many cities and towns across New Zealand (almost 20% of Kiwis ride bikes). This is being driven by several factors, including a rise in vertical builds in our major cities, an increasing number of cycle lanes and the development of the eBike. As consumers demand end-of-trip facilities so they know their bikes are safe when they leave them unattended, secure bike storage is becoming essential for commercial success.

Talk to us today about your bike cages and parking requirements and we'll find you the perfect match for your property.

Which do you need: Single or Multi-Bike Storage?

Hampden can provide a turnkey solution, including bespoke design, fabrication and installation to suit the application of your new or existing site. We can provide a tailored design or an off-the-shelf product. Designs range from small, single lockers to large enclosures that can hold multiple bikes. We offer indoor and outdoor options, and you can choose a modular kit-set design or a fully installed solution. All enclosures are fabricated in our Auckland factory, and all materials is Hot Dip Galvanised to comply with New Zealand standards and conditions.

Pipe and Mesh Multi-Bike Cages

Pipe and mesh construction is the most cost-effective way of creating a bike parking enclosure. This is most suitable for areas where a natural level of security already exists, such as in a secure underground carpark or inside a larger compound.

Large enclosures – either with or without a roof – can be installed quickly to accommodate the desired number of bikes. A selection of commercially available or custom bike racks can be fitted to suit.

Secure Bike Cages

When higher security bike enclosures are required, cages can be constructed from square-welded mesh or 358 anti-climb rigid mesh. These can be custom-designed to hold one or more bikes and tailored to your needs.

The rigid construction acts as a strong deterrent and dramatically increases the time a thief would need to gain access to the bikes. Non-see-through options are also available that offer restricted visibility and greater security levels.

A Choice of Access Options

You can customise access requirements of the enclosure according to the number of bikes you need to store and how much traffic you expect.

A swing or sliding gate can be operated in several configurations: manually, with a pad lock, or a mechanical and swipe card electronic entry can be integrated with manual and mechanical configurations.

A typical set-up is to manually operate the door (gate) by entering with a key or swipe card system, with an electric strike door.
